Dr. Edward Opass of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, offers professional, compassionate mental health counseling. The goal of our practice is to provide quality care to help you get the most from your life.
Since 1980, Dr. Opass has offered his compassionate mental health counseling and therapeutic services to patients throughout the area. Board certified in adult psychiatry, Dr. Opass works to address the numerous problems that patients present.
Dr. Edward Opass finds a sense of gratification in helping others to function more effectively and listens carefully to people, offering compassionate advice and care. Subscribing to the bio-psycho-social model of mental illness, patients may have medical workups, neurological evaluations, neuropsychological testing, or sleep tests. The doctor uses his training to assess presenting issues and conflicts from childhood, as well as exploring current social, cultural, familial, and financial stress.
Dr. Opass graduated from Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan and then attended the Polytechnic Institute of New York, graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Medicine. His medical education was completed at Hahnemann with an internship and residency at Philadelphia State Hospital, Friends Hospital, and a home shelter, among other settings. After completing his residency, he became an instructor in Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University.
In addition to working at community mental health center in Bucks County, he has also served on the staff of Lower Bucks, St. Mary, and Doylestown. He has performed psychiatric consultations on medical patients, patients in crisis, and patients in emergency room settings.
